It's been the talk of the week and it's only Tuesday! Here's some new info we managed to extract;
The Ex- Delirium II/ Laila RX-8 was acquired "owner is still classified".
Darcy Franken will be in charge of the project and Raeshel Maduro the driver. Tuning is done by Abel Burgos of Abel Performance, Hector "Tito" Medina of Tito Chassis will take on the role of team leader.
The car will remain in the US to do some testing and they promise to debut the "fresh new operation" October in Orlando for the World Street Nationals. Here's some pictures of the full chassis RX-8 with Delirium Motorsport power and Boris Rojas under the wheel.
Its best recorded ET was at Lakeland (1/8 mile track) with a 4.57@155, that's a 7.1 pass at the 1320'. Quoting Boris Rojas: "It ran a 7.31 @ only 153 on the brakes. Car has to go 7.0 or 6.9 with some more track time"
THE NEW TEAM NEEDS YOUR INPUT, THE CAR NEEDS A NEW NAME. You can leave your suggestion HERE. They will also give the RX-8 a new paint job, you can also suggest a color for the car.
Check out Papo Racing's blogspot for more info regarding this new development!
