Lynch Resets Outlaw 10.5 World Record…Again

As it was expected to be, Tim Lynch’s new Proline-powered beast of a C6 Corvette has been the proverbial world beater ever since its debut last spring and has continually chipped away at those precious ticks of the clock while lowering the performance standard in the cut throat Outlaw 10.5 eliminator.

During testing in February, Tim drove his Steve Petty-tuned machine to a quickest ever 4.15 at 187 MPH (1/8th mile) to better his previous best elapsed times, and over the weekend, that mark was once again bettered by Outlaw 10.5′s goliath duo.

While competing in spectacular, low corrected altitude conditions at the annual Holcomb Motorsports Spring Outlaw Civil Wars at Rockingham Dragway, Lynch and Petty blasted out a crushing 4.14 (1/8th mile) in the final round of qualifying while inching closer to the 200 MPH mark with a 197 trap speed. And to put an exclamation point on that record-breaking run, Lynch provided an encore performance on his solo run in the opening round of eliminations by churning out an impressive 4.16 at 196 to back up the record.
