Battle of the Best 2012

This will be a December to remember, Curacao will see more international race cars in December than it has seen for a couple of years combined! We'll now focus on the MEGA event known as the BATTLE of the BEST 2012 - Extreme Drag Racing Challenge.

Drag racing fanatics will get a chance to experience a variety of classes and high quality race cars from Aruba, Bonaire, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, USA and of course Curacao. 

They will see 3 low 6 second Pro Mods battle out against each other;

Danilo Namour from Venezuela with his Zapato Grande 5 Pro Mod Ford Mustang

Danny de Kort with his Piss'd off Pete Chevy Cobalt 

And off course the legendary Pat Musi with his nitrous, EFI machine from the US - King Kong 5 Dodge Stratus


If that weren't enough, the spectators will feel the high intensity of no less than 8, low displacement turbo cars from abroad running BIG NUMBERS;

Frans Ponson in the Tito Chassis built machine - Hailey RX-7 - 13B rotary

Best ET: 7.04s @ 190mph 

Willie Lopez and his Lopez Connection 13B turbo powered Datsun Deluxe

Best ET: 7.28s @ 183mph

Here's the X-men full chassis Toyota Celica powered by a 2.0L I4 3SGTE engine

Best ET: 7.01s @ 195mph

Here's the Honda K-series engine record holder El Freddy Civic from the Import DPS crew

Best ET: 7.00s @ 198mph

Jaime Rodriguez and his Jerry Racing modified compact Corolla powered by the Mitsubishi 4G63

Best ET: 7.12s @ 190mph

 And Damon Chin's Rosado Racing's modified chassis 2JZ powered Celica

Best ET: 6.86s @ 199mph

 And from Puerto Rico it's Christopher Racing, 13B powered 2nd gen RX-7

Best ET: 6.96s @ 197mph

And the Piolo Racing's (WORLDS FASTES STOCK CHASSIS) 13B powered 1st gen RX-7

Best ET: 7.39s @ 183mph

These high performance machines will surely put on a great show, but we can't forget about the local racers, many teams are working hard to finish their project to debut them at this event.

 For instance, the 3 car team consisting of the Mr. Brain 2nd gen RX-7 , the Luigy Starlet and Speedy Bee Starlet, the new "The Battle" 2nd gen RX-7 of  Reymond Bakmeyer, the new Ru-Air - 13B powered Protege 5, the Rafik full chassis RX-8 of Mr. Eddine, just to mention a few...will we see them in December?!

Here's another phenomenon worth your attention, it's the new pro street "outlaw bike" of Czyaen "Jenny" Martis and Still Balling Racing. Known as the Doctor's New Toy. It will debut at this event! What will the scoreboard say!?
