Happy weekend race fans. What we have for you today is some news for the Pro Turbo category at the Brisbane Jamboree 2.0 which was held on the 1st and 2nd of October 2011 in Australia.
This time we'll only highlight sub-7 sec ETs. On Saturday's qualifying sessions there were 11 six second passes recorded during 3 qualifying sessions, here are the results for Saturday's qualifying.
Round 1
The day started off with Archie Kajewski's 20B Mazda BT50 6.946 pass @ 198 MPH.
Next off it was George Rehayem of Pac Performance with the 20B MX6 which recorded a 6.87 @ 195 MPH.
Tony Weldock recorded a 6.739 @ 208 MPH with his 2JZ powered TRD Aurion.
The last 6 second pass for the 1st round belonged to Malcolm Glassett in his Hurricane Solara, also powered by the 2JZ engine. 6.948 @ 204 MPH.
Round 2
Scott Porter piloted the HTR Nissan V6 350Z into the sixes, with a 6.902 @ 191 MPH.
Zoran Gajic also joined the group with his Gas Motorsports, 2JZ powered BMW. 6.733 @ 207 MPH.
The last 6 second pass for the 2nd round qualifying session, also low ET for the day, went to Joe Signorelli and his Gas Motorsports 2JZ Celica - 6.595 @ 221 MPH.
Round 3
The 2JZ powered Rayglass Celica, driven by Rod Harvey also made it into the 6s with a 6.63 @ 217. The 3rd qualifying round also featured:
Joe Signorelli - Gas Motorsports Celica: 6.669 @ 212 MPH
Malcolm Glassett - Hurricane Solara: 6.939 @ 198 MPH
George Rehayem - Pac Performance MX6: 6.71 @ 204 MPH
Sunday eliminations also featured some six second passes, but the majority of the teams encountered problems and recorded high ETs.
The final run in Pro Turbo was beteen Rod Harvey and George Rehayem (Piston vs Rotor), with Rod Harvey getting the win light with the lowest ET of the event at 6.456 @ 222 MPH.
